The monument to Lev Sapega in Lepel Oganov was opened on September 11, 2010. The initiator of its creation was the priest Andrei Aniskevich, and the author was the sculptor Lev Oganov. The monument, 3 m high, cast in bronze, depicts Leo Sapega in full dress, in his right hand he holds a mace - a symbol of the hetman's power.
The idea to perpetuate the memory of this political figure, who played an important role in the history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, in Lepel is due to the fact that under him the main city buildings were moved to a new place, which became an important stage in the life of the city and determined its further successful development.
